This auction is a fundraiser for an adorable young dog named Narvi. She loves people and a week ago was a happy / healthy dog. This week that changed. Her history from this week is as follows:

22nd April Narvi had breathing difficulty and was too sore to lay down, she was taken to the Veterinary Clinic on Tuesday 23rd. She was given pain relief and anti-inflammatories based on the exam given by the vet concluding there was some back pain. At this point there was no ataxia (loss of coordination).

26th - Narvi started showing signs of Ataxia and was taken back into the vet, the vet decided referral to a specialist (neurologist) for a CT/MRI would be best as they suspect there is something going on with her spinal cord as messages aren’t getting from her brain to her legs. The appointment with the specialist was booked for Tuesday.

28th - Narvi could no longer stand, and was taken to the specialist for an emergency visit and by 2pm we are informed that it is likely something in her brain related to her Vestibular system which will require an MRI to confirm the issue and then ongoing medication to be treated.

29th - This morning we spoke with a neurologist about Narvi's status overnight. She has deteriorated a bit since yesterday and is showing signs of pressure in her brain, something is causing swelling. It could be an autoimmune disease which can be treated. We should find out today, I believe we have ruled out a tumour at this stage.
