I have always wanted to try a fog cannon and then cross it off my bucket list, we got one. Let me say it is more fun than you could possibly imagine. When I hit the switch to test it the result was instant and incredible. After about 5 seconds we had engulfed the neighbours and I was trying to turn it off because someone would be calling the fire department on us. My only regret was my co-workers would not let me test it inside because they are smarter than me. Damn them.

I did not think you could produce so much fog in such a small amount of time. It really cranks!

Anyway, from what I can see Fog Cannons seem to be tied up quite heavily with the installer where you pay around $4000 to get one supplied and install tends to be on top of that. We couldn't find a price to actually just buy any fog cannons. I notice with things that when there is a subsidy, the price of the item always becomes the amount of the subsidy like when the council subsidises the insulation. The government subsidy covers the fog cannon and not the install. If you don't qualify for the subsidy or are worried about your safety then brilliant! It may need an alarm installer to install it or tie it to your alarm / movement detectors to the fog cannon.
