  • Hi there, do you know what approx. postage to Christchurch would be? Many thanks i************r (35)9:28 pm, Sun, 12 May Would need to carefully box and get quote. Shouldn't be more than $40. Will confirm in next 24 hours. What suburb? rovernz (1260) • Sunday, 12 May 2024

  • When and where was it made? l*******5 (79)11:34 am, Tue, 14 May Have just googled for the answer and found that Seth Thomas was an American and factory was in Plymouth (later re-named Thomaston) Connecticut. Don't have a clue as to why clock face has Scotland on it, sorry. Most likely made mid 60's. Thx rovernz (1260) • Tuesday, 14 May 2024
  • Thank you. Yes, Seth Thomas clocks were made in the United States, not Scotland. It appears that this is not a genuine Seth Thomas clock, as Seth Thomas did not manufacture in Scotland at all. Whether it was made in the 1960's or not is probably also dubious. Thank you for your honesty, and making people aware of this. l*******5 (79)11:26 am, Wed, 15 May Thank you for your thoughts. I'm not trying to be dishonest at all. I have listed as per what was in front of me without the benefit of any specific clockmakers knowledge. With the benefit of 'Google' I note you are right, that there has been reissues. I cannot determine it's age. Though it definitely appears to have 'age' to it. If anyone wishes to remove their bids, I'm happy to accommodate. In fact if that's the case, I would prefer to relist with more pertinent description. Cheers rovernz (1260) • Wednesday, 15 May 2024
  • Thank you RoverNZ, this is an excellent response. It's very generous of you to do that. l*******5 (79)2:14 pm, Wed, 15 May . rovernz (1260) • Wednesday, 15 May 2024
