Description
Shoot Macro using your existing Vintage Nikkor lenses! Not for use on modern Nikon cameras. Does not allow for Auto-Focusing, or any other electronic function because this has no electrical connections between the body and the lens.
This is a Nikon Original and gives a 27.5mm extension. Features a mechanical aperture linkage.
Would work best with a Vintage Nikkor 80mm or longer on a Vintage Nikon F or Nikomat / Nikkormat or similar.

Does it come with front and back caps thanks k****d (212 • 3:27 pm, Tue, 14 May )No sorry. I have some Nikon branded ones arriving in the next week, not yet listed. I also have Nikon yellow custom ones, again, not listed here. nzshoponline (4235 • Tuesday, 14 May 2024 )And would it work on a 50 f1:4 ok k****d (212 • 3:28 pm, Tue, 14 May )It works on any Nikon F Mount lens. Photography skills required. There is no transfer of electronic function between the lens and body as this is a vintage item, I can't guarantee the accuracy or speed of the aperture lever. It works perfectly fine for the intended purpose if you know how to manage metering and stop-down your aperture manually. I have used it this way on my vintage Nikon F + Nikkor 50mm 1:2 (both from 1969). nzshoponline (4235 • Tuesday, 14 May 2024 )Ok ta I have a f2 and a 50 f1:4 so it would get me a lot closer to the subject then? Thanks k****d (212 • 3:42 pm, Tue, 14 May )Yep, absolutely it would. The trick is: the shorter the lens, the closer you need to be to the subject with any specific extension. So with this extension you have to get quite close with a 50mm lens, less close with a 200mm lens. There is a formula for magnification, but honestly, too complicated, it's more fun playing with it and I often use up to 40mm of extension on my 50mm lens. nzshoponline (4235 • Tuesday, 14 May 2024 )
