Hide Glue, (Noris Hautleim) used to create a strong bond, 100g

To dissolve, follow these steps:

1. Add 100-150g of hide glue to 1 litre of water and soak overnight.
2. The following day put in a double boiler and heat slowly until all the particles are dissolved.
3. Do not over heat, about 50 degree is the best temperature.
4. Once all the air bubbles have disappeared, leave the mixture to cool down and then it is ready to be used.
5. After use, put the remaining mixture in a refrigerator to last longe.
6. It is not recommended to use the mixture after 7 days.

The above mixing ratio is for gilding. For different applications you will need a different ratio.

Adding colour (Oxide) to Epoxy Resin:

• Add the epoxy into your mixing container.
• Add the oxide pigment to your hardener. A small amount at first and then add more until you're satisfied with the overall appearance. - Remember, you will add the resin next, which will dilute the mixture a bit. Therefore, add a little more to compensate for this.

The amount you add is based on the visual preference. Normally, 1 gram of powder per 200g of epoxy in your batch.

• Now, add the resin and mix the epoxy batch thoroughly. Follow the instructions for your epoxy.
• Apply the epoxy to your substrate or mould.
• Pour the epoxy like you would normally do.
