For those in the know - a fantastic 1980's Two Crest Barbour Solway Zipper. This model is not made anymore and is slightly longer in length than a standard Barbour and comes with a belt. Size is a mens Large. I'm 6ft 2" and it fits me perfect. Showing an absolutely superb patina and highly prized by collectors or those that love clothing that shows its age gracefully and with style. I searched high and low for this example and imported into NZ from the UK. I replaced some of the lining with a super high quality Scottish wool used for kilts and kept the original where I could. I retained the Barbour labels. This alone cost over $300. The waxed cotton is in excellent condition with no major rips or tears. I first fell in love with the vintage Barbour look at Spitalfield Markets in London. These old Barbour jackets have a big following online with fashion types as you can't fake this look and you can only get it by finding a proper well loved Barbour. Comes with a detachable hood from a later model. Size is large. Check online for prices - these go for big money in the UK and Japan. Please note these Barbour jackets have a particular smell from the waxed cotton used. I don't mind it myself. The jacket though 30 years old is in very good condition and has been worn a lot through the last NZ winter and was aired outside for several weeks outside after I imported it from the UK. I also hand cleaned the original parts of the lining. However this is a vintage item. If you want new buy a new one. Sold with a genuine pot of Barbour wax if you'd like to re-wax this beauty.
