Vintage navy blue Swandri, pure new wool, made in New Zealand.

Swandri starting outsourcing to China around 2002, for manufacturing. This jacket has the Made in New Zealand label and the sizing labels which are no longer used on modern Swandri’s, 2XOS. So this jacket was most probably made around the mid to late 1990’s.

This would have originally been a women’s jacket, the sizing translation, OS, was extra large, which can be confusing as one would think the S would stand for small. This being a 2XOS would be an extra large women’s, however in todays sizing would be around a size 12 women’s or a medium (smaller medium) fit male. 112cm would be classified pre-2002 a large women’s. It could also be worn by a larger size 10 woman, if one were to wear a heavy jersey. I am a size 10 and it is a little large for me, but wearable.

Made with high-grade pure new wool, jacket manufactured in New Zealand.

A lovely navy blue colour outside, with grey coloured wool inside. Three pockets outside, one left-hand chest height, two pockets at both sides of the bottom, all lined with a heavy grey cotton material. One pocket inside right-hand side. Zipped front. Button on each of cuff. Two buttons on sewn in belt loops at back, so it can be tighter or looser on the sides.

In really good condition for its age, no holes, rips, or tears, no moth activity. Outside and inside of jacket very good, no signs of wear anywhere.
