Great boots & I have the same pair. I feel your pain and wonder if you've tried an inner for the boots. I sometimes use a thin leather or woolen innersole, and it helps fill the volume a bit. That way I don't feel like I've got too much hanging off the front. I know the money is handy, but these are pretty hard to find & maybe it could work for you?
