I am a crafter of many years. My favourite is to upcycle clothes and what ever fabric I can find and make it into something completely new and different to what the original was.

At the moment is old jeans, the denim is so hard wearing and will last for years, unfortunately sometimes we have to part with these jeans/clothes for one reason or another.

I make bags of all sizes from the denim, each bag I make is a one off not to be repeated, mainly because I just wing it and don’t use a pattern.

Some bags are denim and cotton fabric on the out side, some have hand embroidery on them, the embroidery takes me hours from start to finish and I mean hours to the fact that I make around .02c per hour for my work. The sewing the bags also take me hours. It would be nice if I could charge my hourly rate, but that would be far too unreasonable.

I try to make all of my handles and straps, with either denim or macrame, sometimes I use old bag handles I pick up from the op shop. I must admit I have a couple of bags with purchased straps…only cause I liked them. The hardware of course is purchased new.

All bags are completely lined with extra inside pockets.
