Published by Williams Collins First Edition, 1978 Hardback, with dustcover 29 pages 26.5x25x.9cm ISBN 0 00 184370 2 Rare and very collectable book.

This story from the Dreamtime, tells of the attempt by the Imjim to steal Moonbi and Leealin from their family by imitating their father's voice. A Timara, who has been watching, calls on all his friends and while the Imjims and the Timaras engage in a fierce battle the two children are able to escape.

This book was a collaboration bewteen Percy Trelize & Dick Roughsey.

Percy Trelize, anthropologist, pilot, historian, airline pilot, explorer, artist and writer, during the war he served as a pilot for the R.A.A.F. He was famous also for being an documenter and historian of Aboriginal art.

Dick Roughsey, or Goobalathaldin to give him his tribal name, was born only a short time after the European missionaries first set foot on his homd island of Langu-narji, close by Mornington Island in the Gulf of Carpentaria. An Aborigine raised in the ways of his forefathers, became a very successful artist, also the author of The Moon & the Rainbow and his picture books the Giant Devil-Dingo and The Rainbow Serpent have received world-wide acclaim.

Book in good condition, the dustcover has a rip to top left-hand 2cm, larger rip to back left-hand top 5cm, wear at bottom areas of dustcover, front and back, top part of dustcover has some small wear, inside dustcover some age spots throughout (pictured)The inside book covers good, no damage. Some small marks on the white bottom of some of the pages, small smudges (pictured) illustrations on pages all good, no damage. Stitching on bottom last 8 pages has come undone (photo) this is reflected in to factor the price of the book, including the rips to the dustcover.
