LIMITED EDITION. While 3,000 copies were intended by the publisher (a firm evidently organized solely for the purpose of issuing this edition), only about 2,000 were issued in vellum, with other sets later issued in red morocco. Created to mark the centenary of Churchill's birth, the proceeds from the initial sales benefited the Churchill Centenary Trust, Churchill College Cambridge, and the Winston Churchill Foundation in the United States.
