Description
The Mother’s Picture Alphabet
A reprint of a Victorian Alphabet Book designed and illustrated by Henry Anelay. When first published in England in 1862, the magazines greeted it with acclaim, remarking on the handsomeness of its illustrations and of its total format. New introduction by Peter Stockham.
Published by Dover Publications (New York) in 1974 (1st in this edition) 21.5cm x 28.5cm.
Paperback: covers are slightly rubbed on the edges, a few small marks, slight foxing on the page edges and endpapers – otherwise very good.
I am listing items from my late mother’s vast children’s book collection so keep checking back for more treasures. Always happy to combine postage where possible.
