THE GOVERNMENT BLUE BOOK Documents concerning GERMAN- POLISH RELATIONS and the OUTBREAK OF HOSTILITIES between GREAT BRITAIN & GERMANY ON SEPTEMBER 3 1939 .

It was publishedvin 1939 , ( first edition) and as a PENGUIN SPECIAL it was published as a book of special topical interest piblished within as short a time as possible . These correspondences , speeches and other information relevant to the topic were considered to be of such importance that they were published the same year that the the situation imploded and resulted in WW11.

To any war historian these will be of great interest in terms of back story and research as the book expresses a wide view of opinions from the politicians / military people etc as to the rising crisis caused by the situation between Germany and Poland .

The idea behind Penguin Specials was to make topical infomation available to the masses as soon as possible , and it was an excellent way to convey lge amounts of info that say , for example , newspapers couldnt , & to enable the wider public to be informed .

In very good vintage condition considering its age (85 years old ) Some tanning to pages , but thats to be expected. No nasty musty smell , as it has been stored carefully inside
