This unusual late 1940s children’s book was published privately by Pauls Book Arcade, Hamilton, and is in very good condition.
The bold full-page original artwork is pretty impressive.
Bryan O'Brien's Stories of Birds & Beasts with illustrations by Joan Smith is a 1948 first edition published by Pauls Book Arcade, Hamilton.
It was printed by Whitcombe and Tombs Limited.
It is a 61-page card hard cover 14x21.7cm with bold colour illustrations and four unnumbered leaves of colour plates.
It is in very good condition, with just some light age marks to the covers.
