Description
Mamas and Papas "baby snug" - very similar to the bumbo, but I tried both and much preferred this one. It's slightly bigger, so accommodated my baby who has pretty solid little thighs and tummy. It's totally stable - the white exterior part is hard plastic, and the dark grey part is a cushy insert that's comfy, but also wipe-downable and removable for a deeper clean. Bigger kids can even take the cushioned insert out to make the seat a bit bigger. It's a European brand, and doesn't seem to be as well known here, but I stumbled across this model at a friend's house and found it so much better for my son than his bumbo that I sought one out on trademe. The tray clips on easily and is very stable. And the best part is the activity insert that suction cups into the tray. My baby LOVED this, and would sit happily in there while I did the dishes or even plopped him in it the bathroom and had a shower. (There is one of the purple flower stem bits on the activity tray that had broken off before I got this, but my son still liked spinning it around. And the other activity parts are all good.
My son has rejected contained seating of all kinds now, which brings with it my own set of challenges... but don't worry about that. But let my wrangling of a wriggly 14 month old be your gain! This was one of my most useful pieces of baby kit.

Hi, does this have a harness to secure the baby to the seat please? c******6 (291 • 10:34 am, Fri, 24 May )No, it doesn't have a separate harness. When the tray is on, it works as a bit of a container in that way, but if you have a real escape artist, they might be able to wriggle out! snowzz (234 • Friday, 24 May 2024 )(It's really for use on the floor only, rather than as a booster seat on a chair).
