This study involved trying out new style of technique used in the background with a palette knife. Also experimented to create a 3d effect with subject - The Tui and the scenic background.

Please see all photos as you can see what the painting looks like it the bright sun, cloudy/normal light and in a darker room. Photos that are taken outside in sun show all the fine details so will seem a little darker in person.

It has been varnished which gives it a glossy look and provides maximum protection over time. The canvas size is 35cm Length, 25cm width, 4cm depth. Painted with a acrylic background and layered on oil paint to produce the finer details on a premium exhibition canvas. Ready to be hung
