An original vintage watercolour painting of a stagecoach by James Walker. The artist has signed in the bottom right corner.
The horse-drawn stagecoach with passengers is heading down a country road or lane and we can see the dust that's being thrown-up behind.
Cobb & Co, began operating in NZ from the early 1860s and ceased around 1920. However, their stagecoaches were bright red whereas the stagecoach of this painting is a dark brown or black. Suggesting it may be a competitor or another country altogether.
The visible image measures 35cm by 25cm(the frame 53cm by 43cm), it's protected behind glass, in good condition and ready to hang.
