A rather neat, & quite retro looking, original painting of perhaps a Waikato River scene? and it is signed Sortuk ? Gortuk ? 1970 ? as per photos. (except that camera flash can change colours & shades etc and make things look brighter & better than they really are)
I think it looks quite neat. Someone may know of the artist. The painting looks quite good I think, a number of odd little mark or spots, scratches, blemishes, wear etc etc but I think its fine for what it is. I think it is quite well done. I think it is an oil, but could be wrong, so if being an oil or an acrylic is important to you, just give the auction a miss. Looks to be done on canvas board and it is not glassed. Will need hooks & wire for hanging. The frame is semi rustic with scratches, wear, marks, chips etc, but I think it is fine for what it is. It is quite large. Could be sanded down & repainted but then you would loose that retro rustic look. I think it is just quite neat. It measures approx 880mm odd x 620mm oddish. What you can actually see of the artwork itself is approx 810mm odd x 550mm odd. So it is a large size.

Measurements are given, so compare those measurements with something you already have to give you a good idea of size. There are a number of photos, hopefully enough, to try & give a good indication of state and condition etc, and to help you decide its value to you & its suitability to your use or purpose, whatever that may be.
