Hi there, this is my second painting to be inspired by the steampunk/fantasy combination, I have called this one "Eye of the Dragon" and shows a dragon eye looking through a old copper porthole, the eye is 40cms and sits in 60cm round frame, I have used Acrylic paints on hand cut MDF panels, the eye is coated in clear resin to give protection and a natural eye effect, the frame is built up in three layers to give a 3D effect and painted in copper with a verdigris effect and coated in satin varnish. This is a solid artwork weighing 5kgs and will need a secure wall fixing. My painting has a lot of detail, but that's not clear in these photos.
