Description

"L.A. Games 1984" Poster Print by Peter J Heer 1983.

This is one of a series made by the artist the year before the Olympics were held in Los Angeles. Each is in an Art Deco style and this one is particularly interesting as it features two USA athletes beating two Soviets(USSR), however, as it turned out the Games were boycotted by the Soviet Block of countries - USSR, East Germany and so on.

Peter Heer is a bit of an all-rounder, being actively involved with art, film, writing and architecture. He is recorded as now living in Argentina.

The poster has been adhered to a solid wooden board for hanging that measures a substantial 56cm by 71cm and is quite heavy. Over time it has acquired some minor marks, see photos, but nothing serious.
