Description
A large vintage framed European artist's print.
The scene features a wintry canal scene most likely Dutch. At the bottom right the artist has signed the artwork and at the bottom left appears "72" which may be a year or alternatively a printing number. What adds to the confusion is the detail on the back that refers to it being an "Original Signed Artist's Proof" and also having been a gift on the occasion of a Felicity's 21st birthday in 1962. Meanwhile the J.S. Fetter & Co, Amsterdam label was apparently in use from 1920 until the 1950s or 1960s.
Whatever the truth, it remains in good condition and appropriate to a vintage age.
The frame measures 79cm by 69cm, it's protected behind glass and ready to hang.
