Description
Two framed vintage Italian silk portrait miniatures.
On the back is the name of the picture framer - Roy K Still, Timaru. Roy Kenneth Still was born in the UK in 1925 and emigrated as a police cadet in 1948 and by 1954 he was working as a policeman in Dunedin. By 1957 he had moved to Timaru and by 1987 is recorded as working as a picture framer. Hence, I would date these silk artworks to the late 1980s or 1990s.
Each visible oval silk portrait measures 10cm by 14cm and their matching frames 24cm by 28cm with a brass handle on top for securing. Each is protected behind glass and both are in good condition.
