It is constructed from a shipping container, and has lush plantings in front and paving stones leading to the non-opening front door. This installation of public art has attracted wide acclaim through interesting write-ups in the local Waikato Times, NZ Heralds OneRoof as well as a primetime breakfast radio spot on Radio NZ. Though not yet drawn international media. The governing council body, Hamilton City Council initially felt that this artwork was not suitable given that it represented basic human shelter, juxtaposed to elite housing, the contrast between the two being at the extreme end. Following strong intervention by the judiciary of NZ in the Environment Court the swords that were drawn have now returned to their scabbards and there has been general acceptance of this artwork's status. Many of the local inhabitants are thrilled with the work in its current form, vocally showing their appreciation to the owners.

This artwork which is called "Beautiful Eyesore" comes with its own land, a serviced section in Hamilton's prestigious Flagstaff. By paying the full price of the artwork, the purchaser can own the section for the reduced price of just $1.00. Or make an offer and bag a bargain for even less.
