FFQ 1862 2d Blue, Davies print on large star watermarked paper, mint original gum, margins all round, paper faults affect 3 units with staple tear at top.
ex ACS sale #25, lot 448 est $1,000+17.5% buyers premium & GST.
Blocks of FFQs are very rare with only one other unused 2d Davies print blk (also a blk 4) known on large star watermark paper. Thought to have been one of the examples sent to London printers to show plate wear and the need for a new plate for the 2d value.
