KGVI 1941 1d Green, Plate 126 lower corner block 6, never hinged mint, small cleaned spot & faint gum bend, very rare plate block.
Mowbray public Auction 44, lot 488 similar but mint plate block sold for $1,800 + 19.5% buyers premium &GST ($2,150+ total)
Not sure why this plate block is so rare but rumour was that pretty much the entire shipment was lost during WWII German blockade of merchant shipping to/from Great Britian.
