Unique set of WW1 postcards images and album sent back to family in NZ. There are 307 cards, and postcards and the preference is to sell as a complete unit. The cards are images of before and after scenes of areas and buildings fought over during WW1. These include churches and cathedrals. Also includes village life in France between 1914 -1918, and black and white and colourised images of UK cities and landmarks collected during leave.

The cards were sent back to NZ by a great uncle who was killed in 1917. Those with more personal messages and photos have been retained but the balance is now being made available to the wider collector market.

The album is original and is about 110 years old. It needs some restoration work especially on the spine, but with careful handling will still do the job. This is a unique, historically important collection.
