Very nice colours and glaze. A seated German shepherd/Alsatian with tongue out. Vintage; likely produced some time just after WWII. I have found others on-line that are stamped or labeled 'Japan' or 'Occupied Japan'. Not all Japanese export ware items were stamped; some had a sticker which was removed over the years. Similar figurines were produced in German porcelain factories but have a different paintwork style. This one is in very good vintage condition - just a miniscule paint chip on one ear and a few minor crazing lines commensurate with age. Perfect for dog collectors and/or German shepherd owners. Also a lovely gift. Measures approximately 10cm tall.
