An Old and Superbly Carved MAORI PATU
A great example of traditional Maori carving here, with a mirrored Koru pattern to both sides. Some wear evident to the edges of the blade extending to the tip, see photos. Possibly a ceremonial piece.
Probably 19th Century, but could be older.
34 x 13cm
Registration number Y22610.
Buyers must be a Registered Collector of Taonga Tuturu.
