Description
For your Tomorrow : A record of New Zealanders who have died while serving with the RNZAF and allied Air Services since 1915. Volume 3: Biographies & Appendices by Errol W. Martyn. Hard covered book of 640 pages (4 cm thick) and printed in 2008. Signed by the author and No 255 in a limited edition of 300. It says Special casebound limited edition of 300 numbered copies, there is NO case with this book. The book is in really nice condition, looking at the cover and contents it doesn’t look like it has been read. It says- the object of this 3 volume series is to set down in a comprehensive manner an account of how each of some 4800 New Zealand airmen and women who died while serving with the RNZAF and the Allied Air Services met their end, and to provide brief biographical details on each of them. It is hoped that such a record will be helpful to those seeking a starting point from which to research or study further any one individual or group of casualties. It will also serve as an enduring memorial to those who sacrificed their lives in times of conflict or while preserving the peace. *** This book Volume 3 provides biographical details for each 4800 whose fates are described in those preceding volumes, an Additions section documenting the fates of nearly 90 further casualties (bringing these up to the year 2005), an extensive Amendments section recording new information that has come to light since the publication of Vol. 2, and Appendices, one of which names over 11,000 2nd WW aircrew.
