9'' LONG HAND FORGED HEAVY IRON BLADE HEAD.
4'' BLADE EDGE.
WOOD HAFT. CRUDE RUSTIC TREE BRANCH SHAFT. HAFT DECORATED WITH TYPICAL BRASS TACK/PINS AT TOP OF HAFT. BLADE IS TIGHT ON HAFT. WEAR AND SOME LIGHT BUG HOLES TO HAFT. HOLES TREATED. HAS MAKER'S STAR/CROSS CYPHER STAMPED ON BLADE FACE. PROBABLY CRAFTED AND USED IN THE 19TH CENTURY. HEAVY PIN FITTED TO TOP OF SHAFT TO HOLD BLADE.
