Description
Trooping of the Colours 1912 at the Horse Guards Parade, June 14th, 1912. Approximately 37x37cm. Printed in black with a central illustration of the King (George V) flanked by 6 figures of soldiers, each in a different uniform, surrounded on the outside by an array of colourful flags, flowers, and vines. This is a rare item as it is on very delicate tissue. One very small tear lower right as shown. Margins folded in places but entire. Program and schedule for the trooping of the colors by The Household Cavalry of the Brigade of Guards to celebrate the King's birthday. Souvenir napkins survive to some degree, but seldom in nice condition, because of the thin material and - as here - they were usually stored folded. Rare (I could find no other examples of this piece online).
