This is an auction for a 1950s - 1960s Onoto Fountain Pen. This is their flagship model intended to compete with the very successful Parker 51 pen of the same era and utilizes the same ‘hooded nib’ idea. It is a piston filler with heavy gold plated cap and nib. This was the last throw of the dice for the Onoto Pen Company until its recent revival.
