Highly Collectable China Pewter Tea Caddy from the turn of the century

We offer today a true collector's item, a rare pewter tea caddy made at the turn of the century or earlier by the famous Chinese KUT HING Pewter Company in Swatow, the present day Shantou in the Guangdong province.

Swatow was a major centre of high quality pewter production in the 18th to 19th century and this is a beautiful reminder of the good old days.

This solid top quality pewter tea caddy in cylindrical shape displays some of those intricate engraved traditional dragon and bamboo decorations. This beauty has a cover and an inside lid which even today seem to ensure that it can be used to keep your precious tea or other goodies fresh for extended periods after all these years.

Please check the photos for further details. We offer this beauty in a used antique condition with some usage marks and an interesting patina. This beauty stands 11 cm tall. The diameter is just over 8 cm across. The manufacturer's marks are inside the lid and at its base.
