Historic Army Uniforms – 2 Rare Prints for a Museum, RSA or a Man Cave ?

We offer today two very rare prints of Prussian soldiers in their impressive uniforms, being vintage reprints of originals created by L. Eltsholtz and published by L.F. Sachse in Berlin way back in 1830 in the book “Das Preussische Heer” at the time when Frederick William III ruled the Kingdom of Prussia in the heart of Europe almost 200 years ago shortly after the Napoleonic Wars.

These stunning prints are in wooden frames which measures 39 cm x 30cm. Both were framed in another part of this world, in Harare, in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). How they got there in the first place and then ended up in this part of the world is another story, I guess.

But in the meantime the good news these rare clean and tidy prints from distant times and distant lands can be yours soon, ideally suited for an army museum, RSA display or a serious man cave. Please note that there is a crack in one the glass panels (No 67, The General) .

The print marked ‘page 58’ shows a representative from the 8th Hussar Regiment meeting the Standard Bearer from the 4th Cuerassier (cavalry) Regiment. The other print (Page 67) display the General, accompanied by General Staabs Officier (Major) and the Rittmeister Adjutant (Cavalry Captain) .
