Musical Iron/Steel BAODING BALLS – Anti-Stress Tool from China – just for you ?

We offer today another reminder of old traditions in distant lands for your collection, display or possible use the way our Chinese friends have been using these ancient tools and many still do.

This beauty here we acquired at a Singapore market many moons ago, a silk covered wooden box containing two iron or steel chiming balls.

According to internet sources these balls are also known as Chinese "balls for ball practice" exercise balls, Chinese health balls, Chinese meditation balls, and Chinese medicine balls..... Baoding balls are used by rotating two or more balls repeatedly in the hand, tended to improve finger dexterity, relax the hand, or aid in the recovery of muscle strength and motor skills after surgery.....

The colourful box which shows its age measures 11 cm x 6 cm and stands 5.5 cm tall. The balls have a diameter of about 4 cm, and are producing some beautiful pings.

And the good news is that this attractive treasure can be yours soon, for display or for immediate anti-stress exercises...
