We offer today a very rare vintage biscuit barrel or cookie storage jar, made by those champions at Lancaster & Sons (L & Sons) in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, in the very heartland of quality china production in England in the good old days many moons ago.

This beautiful vintage biscuit barrel, square shaped, is an absolute delight with a touch of art deco. Please check the photos for details.

We offer this so collectable beauty in a good used vintage condition. The company's stamp at the base of this desirable item was used from the early 20's, last century.

So 100 years old or thereabouts. It is not surprising that this beauty has some usage marks, the silver-plated metal ring and handle could do with a professional clean unless you prefer the patina. There is also some interesting under-gaze crazing, adding to its attraction.

This beauty displays so well indeed and could also be used immediately, not just for cookies, also for flower arrangements and so much more.
