CLARICE CLIFF “CELTIC HARVEST” Tea Pot – signed – ca 1938

What a beauty – just for you? We offer today one of those impressive works of art by Clarice Cliff in that so collectable Celtic Harvest range from the 30’s.

A truly desirable example, just look at those pictures. Such delightful strong colours indeed displayed by the heavily embossed globular teapot with a fruit encrusted handle and lid, blossoms at the spout and a delicate wheat sheaf motif added to the textured body in cream coloured tones.

We offer this beauty in a good used vintage condition. We could not detect any repairs or damages on the outside. The inside shows some usage marks, and some under-glaze crazing in line with its age and use a few generations ago. We found a tiny chip at the base of the lid, overpainted in brown some time ago, as shown in the photo, not visible once back on top.

This great tea pot is fully marked with the Newport Pottery, England, stamp and the signature of the renowned artist, as shown in the photos. In addition, the notations “England” and “68A” are in raised relief.  This beauty measures some 15 cm in height and 24 cm across, from handle to spout.

We are sad to let it go, but the good news is this impressive reminder of the good old days can be yours soon, for your collection, for display or why not indeed as a christmas present for someone special.
