Traditional genuine roofing terracotta gable-end Finials, ridge tiles These are little individual works of Art; and clay sculptures! I have sourced these over many years, from antique shops, building demolition sites, and from roofing contractors. Now is the time to down-size. Dating from the turn of last century, circa 1900’s, these genuine grotesque gargoyle Gable-end finials and raised ridge roof tiles embellish the traditional look of tiled roofing.

We have multiples of most of these; and a few are one-offs. This auction is for one finial, or raised ridge tile capping.

Some have traces of mortar where they have been previously installed; however most are completely clean, never having been mounted. Some have chipping, and age related crazing, and hairline cracks; but all are structurally sound & intact.

Fashioned from terracotta clay, many are made by Symons Bros, Fairfield, NSW.; or Wunderlich, Sydney and branded accordingly.
