Beautiful and rare Victorian swag necklace featuring a 6.5mm glistening amethyst, two smaller amethyst and over 50 Natural seed pearls set in 9ct gold. Two arms of the necklace are attached by O rings to the central pillar so the can articulate and sit beautifully on the decolletage. The entire necklace is 9ct gold and the spring clasp is typical of 1880-1890 pieces.

In fabulous condition with all natural pearls present and the amethyst in wonderful condition. The necklace is 43cm(16inches) and designed to sit just below the collar bone. A rare and stunning piece, I have been unable to find anything similar for sale currently.

The necklace is stamped 9ct on each arm of the necklace and weighs 6.07 grams. There are no English hallmarks so most likely made in New Zealand or Australia.
