Ex VB Short and Harry Hughan collections. In the early 1960's Mr Short of Feilding purchased the famed Hughan collection. In 1976 Peter and Margaret Eccles purchased a portion of the Short collection, which included the three coins of Liechtenstein which we have currently listed. The coins were subsequently sold to a Wellington collector/investor in whose collection they have remained for the past 48 years. It is interesting to note the description from Peter Eccles on the coin holder, which lists it as Friedberg #17. The first Krause-Mishler "Standard Catalogue of World Coins" was not published until a year or two after 1976, which really makes this quite an historic item.
