This is a beautiful piece that has unfortunately been struck by borer. it has been treated but you can see the borer holes.
In saying that, this is still a majestic looking piece & works as it should.
Gilbert gramophones were produced in Sheffield between 1922 and 1931. There is an advert sticker on the inside of the lid for Arthur Bree piano co ltd. Arthur Bree was born on 27 October 1896, in Auckland & his occupation was piano tuner & piano salesman in Auckland.
