RARE Art Deco Platinum French Cut Diamond Eternity Band

This is an elegant Art Deco French cut diamond eternity ring modelled in platinum. At first glance this appears to be a simple, channel set diamond eternity band but . . . the diamonds are what set this ring apart! French cut diamonds have less facets than brilliant cut diamonds but more than step or baguette cut diamonds. They are unique because they have square shaped tables with triangular facets at the corners, forming a four-pointed star pattern. They were incredibly popular in Art Deco pieces in the 1920s because of their geometric proportions. Slender and elegant with that certain "je ne sais quoi!" of French cut stones! Such an amazing, super thin eternity band, the delicate line has an uninterrupted sparkle. It is a rare find to see such small French cuts on an eternity band! Exquisite!
