Description
Mid century collectible Danish Rotary Dial Phone – RARE IVORY – Kirks Telefonfabrikker for KTAS Denmark Desk Dial Phone – Model 1951 - F-51 creme
In very good, original condition The fabric covered cable with original plug shows a little fading and slight wear and there is a minute stress line in the ivory material speech cup (Body made from Bakelite, according to the Post and Telephony Museum in Copenhagen, ref further below)
Purchased at an auction in Copenhagen, I was told by the phone technician who installed this at my place that this phone would have been for the Directors only at KTAS (Københavns Telefonaktieselskab) (Direktørgangen hos KTAS) and that it would be from ca. 1955 (though online references say 1951-) The internal bell was working when it was last connected – and using the dial gives that unmistakable dialling sound – absolutely charming

Not only for the discerning collector... can also be used as a prop in a theatre or movie production
Any comments from a phone collector/connoisseur will be much appreciated
It does have the original plug, so I'll leave it to the buyer to adapt to any current provider’s connection if possible
