Mo te tunga | About the role
Older Persons Health (OPH) is well regarded for its high quality of care and comprehensive range of services including rehabilitation, sub-acute medical care, stroke services, orthomedicine, surgical medicine and community geriatric medicine.
We provide care for the older people in Canterbury (population 87,000). Our Christchurch inpatient services are based at Burwood Hospital in a new (opened 2016), purpose-built facility with Community services based at Princess Margaret Hospital and a number of satellite sites.

We are looking for a Geriatrician to join our team of committed and dedicated clinicians in a permanent, casual capacity.
We work within well-resourced interdisciplinary teams and alongside supportive clinical leaders and managers. The service prides itself on our focus on patient-centred care and we provide an excellent training experience to medical students and junior doctors. We support and encourage involvement in clinical research, quality improvement and development of innovative ways of working.
You must be eligible for Vocational Registration (NZMC) in Internal Medicine with postgraduate training in geriatric medicine.
