Baker-Kerikeri

The Bakery role at New World Kerikeri will consist of the following:

• Preparation and baking of bread doughs from scratch and frozen such as; breads, sourdoughs, pastries, pies, cakes and other baked goods.
• Working with ovens and provers
• Consistently producing quality goods
• Creativity with production of Cakes and Donuts
• Confidently maintaining and promoting Food Safety and Health and Safety standards on a daily basis
• Maintain efficiency in daily production schedule as outlined by the Department Manager.

About you:You will be a passionate Baker who loves all things about the industry! We are looking for a capable all-rounder who has an extensive knowledge of scratch and frozen savory as well as proving and oven methods. The right candidate will know what great looks like and enthusiastically work with the team to ensure the Bakery Department looks fantastic on a daily basis. You will have previous experience in a bakery role and be keen to add value to our current bakery offering.

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous bakery/supermarket experience or similar as a baker
• Qualification as a Baker or have commenced a Bakery apprenticeship
• Knowledge of scratch bread doughs and other baking lines.
• Previous knowledge of sweet side an advantage
• Knowledge of Food Safety and Health and Safety guidelines in NZ

This is afull-timeposition, 5 days per week including one weekend day with early morning starts (4am-5am in the morning, 8 hours per day).
